Vision Statement

Reach-Up Head Start and Early Head Start is recognized throughout the community and state as a family focused early childhood developmental model of excellence that has lasting impact.

Head Start and Early Head Start provide quality early childhood education for children ages birth to five, and support services for families. Children are enrolled in a center based program or home based program based on age, parent choice, and availability. Our goal is to prepare children for kindergarten and to support parents in the role as their children's first and most important teacher.

What sets us apart from other early childhood programs is that all of our services are free to qualifying families. Families must live at or below the federal poverty guidelines to qualify for services. Without our services, these families would not have the financial means to access other quality preschool education. We also include wrap-around support services including health, mental health, nutrition, and advocacy to ensure that basic needs of all of our children and families are being met.
