Lutheran Social Services

Mission: Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota expresses the love of Christ for all people through service that inspires hope, changes lives, and builds community.

Services provided by LSS: Services are provided throughout MN. In the St. Cloud area, we have Counseling, Crisis Nursery, Housing, Foster Care, Financial Counseling, Veterans Services, Disability Services, Refugee Services, Youth Services (Pathways 4 Youth), and Older Adult Services that include Senior Companion and Neighbor To Neighbor Companion Programs. The Companion Programs consist of volunteers being matched with Seniors in their communities to provide friendship and support to assist in socializing and meeting the individualized needs of clients.

What sets us apart from others: Our organization is state wide and our programs are comprehensive to the needs of the individuals, populations, and communities we serve.

For the Senior Companion and Neighbor To Neighbor Companion Programs, we are able to provide needed socialization and other supports for clients on a caring and compassionate one to one basis. Our volunteers receive stipends for their time, mileage reimbursement, and training opportunities on topics that will support their work.
